About you and the role:

We're looking for a highly driven & capable Project Manager to join our growing team.

Working along side of the Leadership Team and reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the successful execution and management of major electrical and automation based projects, as well as a key influencer to our company strategy across quarterly leadership workshops. 

You will also oversee and mentor our team of Project leads.

You have strong widespread experience across the electrical and automation industry and possess outstanding skills in people engagement, relationship building, time management, high-level reporting, estimation, customer service and safety. 

You fervently promote and advocate company values and foster a strong and positive culture of engagement and continual learning.

You will be empowered in your role with the tools and support you need to help build upon our strong reputation for outstanding customer service, support and workmanship.

Core responsibilities:

• Ensuring all projects are managed and completed to an exceptional standard including management of budgets, timelines, resourcing, project materials, variations / scope creep and safety.
• Client engagement and management through outstanding communication, status reporting and stakeholder meetings as required. 
• Consultation with clients to establish requirements and scope of works including support with preparation, design and generation of proposals and tenders.
• Actively seek out new opportunities with both potential and existing clients and develop long term relationships.
• Maintain client awareness of all company services including the benefits and value of our brand.
• Alignment with and 100% adherence to our core company values.

 Skills and experience:

• Extensive experience (minimum 5 years) working in a Senior Project Management / Lead Project Engineering role is critical.
• Strong background (minimum 5 years) within the industrial automation and/or electrical engineering industry is essential for this role.
• A formal Degree in Business Management  / Engineering Management / Diploma in Project Management.
• Exceptional organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task effectively.
• Prior P&L and budget accountability.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills as well as strong ability to effectively engage with internal team and customers at all levels.
• Use sound judgement and interpersonal skills to deal with conflict, negotiate and influence outcomes.
• Ability to effectively navigate and diffuse high-pressure situations.
• Ability to work autonomously and use strong initiative.
• Solutions orientated, with strong planning and analytical skills and the ability to think on your feet.
• Possess a strong self-motivated and 'can-do' attitude.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in preparing, liaising, evaluating and delivering submissions for tenders and projects.
• Highly experienced in all aspects of workplace and site-specific industry OH&S.
• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), cloud-based CRM, workflow and communication platforms.
