Reporting to the Manager, Construction, this role will manage medium to large-scale high level complexity University construction and infrastructure projects.
The Project Manager will liaise with all stakeholders, internal, external consultants, and contractors, to develop and deliver the full scope of allocated projects through the provision of end-to-end project management services within required processes, procedures, and regulations. The appointee will also execute contracts, provide reporting to finance, and manage construction on site.
As the Project Manager, you will:
- Coordinate consultants or internal resources in the production of designs and documentation for projects and ensure design solutions comply with the project brief, University strategic plans, campus planning guidelines and masterplans, University standards, policies and procedures, legislative requirements and building regulations.
- Analyse problems, weigh up a range of options to identify accessible and inclusive solutions and translate complex issues into clear and understandable goals and targets for Deakin.
- Postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or
- Extensive experience and management expertise; or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training in building, construction, architecture, project management
- Current Construction Induction Training Card (red or white card)
- Directly relevant industry experience in project management of capital infrastructure and built environment projects on budget and program within a tertiary education environment, a Head Contractor, or a Project Management firm
