Concentis is partnering with Gladstone Area Water Board (GAWB) to source a Project Manager - Easements to help play a pivotal role within their Asset Planning Team.
The Gladstone Area Water Board (GAWB) is a commercial Statutory Authority whose purpose is to supply water in bulk to major consumers in the Gladstone Region. Those consumers comprise major industries, power generating organisations, and the Gladstone Regional Council. GAWB manages a variety of assets ranging from major water storage through to pump stations, pipelines, storage tanks and water treatment plants and operates and maintains recreational facilities including a fish fingerling hatchery and associated stocking program.
Their vision is to deliver safe and reliable water services to enhance the liveability of the region.
About the role
Reporting to the Asset Planning Manager, the Project Manager – Easements is responsible for overseeing the safety, accessibility and integrity of GAWBs water pipeline easements, managing risks through your assessment and strategic planning. The role requires proactive risk analysis, prioritisation and execution to safeguard infrastructure and ensure reliable water delivery within the region.
- Conduct comprehensive desktop and field assessments of all GAWB easements to identify risks and evaluate risk exposure
- Develop and implement risk mitigation plans
- Maintain internal and external stakeholder communications such as government departments and landowners; Land and Catchment, Project Delivery and Engineering Teams
- Develop and maintain project documentation including business cases, scopes of work, project plans and cost estimates
- Qualifications in Project Management essential
- Qualifications in Engineering, preferrable civil desirable
- Demonstrated experience in project management or project implementation role
- Proven understanding of project management methodologies tools and governance
- Experience in conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies
- Previous experience with land management and easements highly desirable
- Working knowledge of project/contract administration and cost control
- Proficient in the use of MS Office including MS Project
