ABB’s Electrification Service Business is a leading provider of a full range of protection, control and measurement solutions - enabling safer and smarter electricity flow from substation to the point of consumption. We provide Services that Electrify our world, in a Smart, Safe and Sustainable way. We deliver products and systems designed to connect, protect and control electrical assets, ensuring sustainability, reliability, efficiency and safety for the environment, equipment and personnel.
You will be exposed to diverse engineering projects and contracts in ABB’s Service Electrification Business in Darra. Reporting to the Projects / Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of these assigned project deliverables.
Your responsibilities
- Providing cost-effective execution of Project Deliverables in accordance with Contract Specifications, Business Models, Quality Standards, Schedule and Safety Requirements
- Supporting both own team and relevant functional departments (Sales, Applications, Operations, Business Support, Field Service) in achieving financial business targets
- Managing and executing all contracts assigned to you with various deliverables, on time and within budget, accurately forecasting business revenue
- Creating and delivering scope-specific work plans and budgets, as well as risk assessments as it pertains to your Engineering Discipline
- Providing technical recommendations in the Testing, Installation and Commissioning phases of customer projects in both LV and MV products
- Providing and supporting technical details, costs and deliverables for Sales Proposals
- Supporting Project Managers and Project Lead Engineers in technical reviews and discussions with Customers, Partners, Subcontractors and Vendors
- Supporting Contract Managers with claims, customer specifications and safety standards. Helping customers resolve technical issues both remotely and on domestic / international customer sites. Developing your Leadership and Communication skills by working with entry-level Engineers, Technicians and Support Teams. Maintaining and enhancing customer
Your background
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering or equivalent with 5 years or more experience in the relevant field
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, and strong communication skills
- Positive, confident and adaptive to a dynamic team, whilst open to constructive feedback and willingness to change behavioral practices and/or suggest improve-ments to business / tools and process gaps
- Strong commitment to safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
- A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn and implement new technologies
- Design exposure of Low Voltage and Medium Voltage Switchboards in line with IEC/AS/NZS Standards (both ABB and non-ABB assets)
- Experience and exposure to protection relays (e.g., ABB Relion Series / PCM600 Software).Experienced usage in Microsoft 365 main software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Pro-ject)
