The primary role of the Project Manager - Infrastructure is to manage the successful implementation of community infrastructure projects within Moira's capital delivery program. You will play a critical part in the development and execution of these projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and to high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of infrastructure project development, including planning, implementation, and delivery.
- Develop business cases and project plans, establish governance, allocate resources, and meet reporting requirements.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards, managing budgets and resources effectively.
- Monitor project expenditure and compliance with budgetary constraints, ensuring all necessary documentation, permits, and regulatory requirements are addressed.
- Oversee safety standards and ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) regulations.
- Maintain effective relationships with residents, ratepayers, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders, providing accurate and timely written responses.
- Develop and implement comprehensive stakeholder management plans and engagement strategies.
Requirements for the role:
- Tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, or related field, or extensive experience in community infrastructure projects.
- Certified Professional (AIPM, EA, PMI) highly desired
- Demonstrated project management skills with experience managing projects ranging from $1 to $5 million, including expertise in risk management and mitigation strategies.
- Proficiency in relevant computer skills and project management software, along with a strong understanding of financial principles and budget management for large-scale projects.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong leadership abilities and experience managing project teams.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, innovation in project processes, and the ability to navigate compliance, governance, and stakeholder engagement in a municipal setting.
