Project Manager: Parking Infrastructure Renewal

$106,457.- $119,122 per annum (plus super)

Temporary Full Time (18 Months)

About the Role

A great opportunity has become available for an experienced Project Manager to join our Transport Team within the Transport & Civil Development Department. The Transport & Civil Development Department is responsible for the management of carparks and associated equipment and infrastructure. This 18-month temporary position will be expected to deliver Council’s Parking Infrastructure renewal and service contract projects. This includes playing a lead role, project managing and delivering a strong and successful Community Engagement program to transition existing parking ticket machines to cashless technology.

With a focus on high quality, we are looking for an individual who will enthusiastically deliver these projects. You will effectively lead and manage contract requirements including contract specification writing and tender processes in accordance with Council’s procurement guidelines. You will be required to supervise and manage various contractors, establish and control budgets, quality project outcomes, targets, timeframes, resourcing, reporting, and resolving issues whilst keeping clients and user groups updated on project implementation progress and effective handover processes.

You will also lead the development of a stakeholder engagement strategy, tactics and activities consistent with Council’s Community Engagement Policy for the purpose of successfully transitioning to cashless ticketing. In so doing, building, and sustaining positive and productive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders as well as broader community leaders.

About You

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering projects and programs with a focus on project management and successful community engagement. A sound knowledge of relevant industry standards, legislation and best practices is integral to the role as is the ability to manage multiple competing priorities with a degree of autonomy.

An experienced and qualified Project Manager with a passion and can-do attitude supported with your sound knowledge of the practicalities of delivering infrastructure and equipment projects and customer liaison along with the confidence to make decisions is required for this position.

You may be required to undertake practical testing, work preference profiling / psychometric testing, functional capacity assessment (physical) or aptitude testing.
