The role
As an IT Infrastructure Project Manager at Praemium, you will be responsible for initiating, planning, and overseeing the successful execution of approved IT projects which can include; infrastructure, cloud, security and application implementations. You will ensure these projects align with the company's strategic and technology objectives, collaborating closely with project teams and stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget. You will manage all aspects of project delivery, including risk and issue management, documentation, communication, and implementation, ultimately contributing to the achievement of organizational goals.
Main Activities of This Position:
- Initiate technology projects by strategically planning and systematically overseeing the entire project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and artifacts to guide project execution.
- Analyze, confirm, and document project scope, outcomes, requirements, and deliverables.
- Conduct business analysis of technical and operational aspects, documenting information flows.
- Coordinate and conduct business requirements workshops with stakeholders, documenting detailed requirements.
- Assemble and effectively manage project teams, optimizing collaboration and resource utilization.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage testing and business verification activities to ensure project deliverables' reliability and effectiveness.
- Track and manage project progress using appropriate tools, providing ongoing direction and support to project teams.
- Proactively manage scope, issues, and risks to ensure effective project delivery.
- Drive projects to completion within established time and budget parameters, ensuring quality delivery of requirements.
Essential Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies:
- Experience in initiating new IT projects and identifying and resolving issues through business analysis, requirements elicitation, documentation, and project planning.
- Experience in managing a variety of technology projects, including infrastructure, cloud, security, and application implementations.
- Ability to navigate an IT department and build technical relationships with various IT teams.
- Management of IT supplier relationships.
- Sound understanding of the finance industry, including wealth management and superannuation, is useful but not essential.
- Previous experience working in an agile environment.
