Our Sydney operations is based in Wetherill Park and specialises in manufacture, installation, and servicing of automatic doors. The Sydney operations also includes our renowned Revolving Doors for manufacture, installation, and service.
The position of Project Manager – Automatic Doors is a permanent full-time position based in Sydney for an experienced person who is a skilled installation specialist with experience in project management.
The Position
Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role is responsible for the project management of all manufacture, installations, and commissioning of new automatic door projects in NSW. Experience in understanding of building site requirements, dealing with builders, suppliers (Aluminium and Glass companies advantageous), sales team, accounts, and management will be a prerequisite.
Duties
- Manage projects from sales team/customer order till job completion
- Confirm project requirements, schedule and coordinate installations and commissioning of projects for in-house, builders, and contractors
- Confirm through site inspections the project scope of works and provide details for purchasing and assembly of products to purchasing/build team
- Manage WHS requirements in line with legislation, customer, site, and company requirements
- Report on project progress and completion and provide forecasting to management
- Conduct all on-site communication and arrangements to prevent project hold-ups and liability to record
- Develop and manage commissioning documentation
- Provide certification in accordance with Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards
- Manage financial performance of projects
- Variation and contract negotiations
- Quoting and designing minor works projects
- Actively participate in developing, implementing, and improving policy and processes
- Task allocations from Operations Manager
- Travel within NSW for projects
The Person
- Experienced in Project Management and installation processes, preferably in the Automatic Door or associated building industry.
- Understanding or history in glazing and or shopfront construction
- Intermediate Microsoft Office, CRM/ERP software knowledge with reporting skills and knowledge of workflows and presenting
- Ability to adapt to company, customer and positional requirements and work closely with management/sales/production and overall work team to achieve successful and profitable workflow
- Strong understanding of workplace laws and WHS requirements
- Current unrestricted full drivers’ licence
- Hold a construction induction card
- Trade or tertiary qualification favourable
