DHL Global Forwarding currently has a vacancy for a Project Manager – Industrial Projects to join our team and come work with us! The role can be based at either our Brisbane Office and would report directly to the Head of Industrial Projects - Australia.

Overall Role Purpose
As a Project Manager in our team, you will be responsible for:
- Delivery of new business and business improvement implementations that drive increases in sales, customer satisfaction, and EBITA.
- Plan and manage the operational resource requirements by freight volumes and budget targets.
- Develop an effective team where individual strengths are built on and recognised, training needs are identified, and where the team works towards a common goal or set of priorities.
- Review and preparation of quotations for international and domestic freight movements.
- Coordination and expedition as necessary from Reports of Project international and domestic freight movements.
- Manage vendor base of shipping lines, agents, trucking companies, and project clients globally in the achievement of service requirements in terms of safety, quality, cost, and performance.
- Positively contribute to promoting safe and best practices about HSE compliance within DGF Group, its Clients, Subcontractors, and affiliates.
- Minimise risk exposure through careful planning of work activities, adherence to all internal and external procedures and legislated requirements, and identifying and reporting hazards.
- Work very closely with Project Sponsor and other key project team members to ensure project priorities are completed promptly.
- Ten (10) years of Freight forwarding experience in an Industrial Project environment.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications i.e. business /project management-related education
- Previous exposure and experience within with large projects
- Previous exposure working within a Global organisation
- Previous work experience in the Service Industry
- Previous work experience in the Freight forwarding industry (Desirable)
