Salary range: $112,568 to $121,946 per annum + 12.5% superannuation.

About the role
This role contributes to the success of the City by managing project in a broad suite of Smart Economy initiatives in accordance with the City’s Strategic priorities including, but not limited to, local activations; grants; event creation, minor capital and infrastructure projects and business support initiatives to drive city visitation, build resilience of the local economy and promote and leverage our city’s competitive advantages and public facing technology.
Role accountabilities include:
- Develop and manage the delivery of programs and projects to improve city amenities and support and grow Hobart's economy.
- Provide timely, accurate and qualified advice to the Manager Smart Economy and to City businesses and potential investors and Stakeholders.
- In consultation with the Manager Smart Economy, design, implement and evaluate research and consultation projects to ensure the City stays informed of local, national and international trends, issues, opportunities and changing needs

About you
We seek candidates with project and program management skills and experience in various domains, such as grants, business support, minor capital and infrastructure projects, or technology applications in public spaces that benefit the local community. If you are passionate about creating positive change, embracing new challenges, and making a difference, this is the role for you.
Below are the mandatory qualifications and experience for the role;
- Bachelor Degree or higher in Business, Economics, Public Policy, Project Management or a related field.
- Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People.
- Current Driver Licence.
- Demonstrated ability in grants management, business support initiatives, workforce development, stakeholder engagement and project management are highly regarded.
