Engineering Applications (ENAP) is a respected mechanical engineering and construction company based in both Hemmant and Carole Park with over 40 years' experience in the design, fabrication, installation and maintenance of varying types of process plant & equipment, including building maintenance and construction management services.
Currently, we have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-driven Project Manager, to join our team working out of our site project office in Gove, Northern Territory.
The successful applicant will work a 2:1 roster, with a project duration of 8 months commencing in January 2024.
The ideal candidate will come from a hand's on engineering background or be a trade qualified professional who is experienced with HDPE and Carbon Steel piping installation.
The role is both challenging and rewarding and utilises a full range of project management skills from concept to completion. A typical day will see you planning, controlling and coordinating the installation and commissioning of carbon steel and HDPE piping with structural supports while leading and directing a team of trade professionals and working with our client. The site based team will be approximately 15 including site supervisors, leading hands, trades personnel and equipment operators.
The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following;
- Trade qualifications or experience in a metal engineering discipline or SMP environment
- Proven experience delivering projects ? from concept stage through to installation
- Knowledge of dewatering, pumping system design, PE pipeline design and installation
- In-depth knowledge of HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) Pipes and Carbon Steel pipes along with infrastructure projects management principles
- Solid knowledge of mining industry practices with an appreciation of safety requirements within the mining industry
- Sound understanding of mechanical equipment, mainly heavy industry
- Previous experience with managing/directing Supervision trade personnel (Boilermakers, Fitters, skilled Trade Assistants and equipment operators)
- Proven experiences with on-site subcontractor management
- The ability to prioritise, plan, organise work and multiple project tasks
- Strong project management skills
- A proven proactive approach to driving quality assurance and health & safety
- Demonstrated enthusiasm and drive with a high level of self-initiative
- Strong project leadership and solid communication skills
- Competent use of computer and basic IT systems
