Take on a responsibility for managing a major project in QLD, we are seeking a self-motivated and experienced Project Manager based in our stylish Robina Office on the Gold Coast to lead this project on a 12 month Maximum Term Full Time basis, with potential for additional term contracts. This project is both innovative in design and groundbreaking in terms of scale.
Reporting to the Business Development Lead - Qld, your responsibilities will include:
- Overall project management of a circa $140m project, helping keep a large number of project personnel aligned and committed to the project deliverables
- Ensuring that the pre-site and onsite projects remain on schedule, within budget, and deliver high quality homes
- Preparing for and presenting to PCG meetings (one internal PCG, one client PCG)
- Managing project risks including maintaining a risk register
- Managing internal and external stakeholder reporting including the complete experience through the pre-site and construction process
- Overseeing financial reporting of the project economics including identifying problems and coordinating their resolution
- Problem solving including engaging multi-disciplinary teams to rectify or mitigate the impact of problems
- Overseeing contract administration procedures including extensions of time
- Supporting the Project and Construction team by acquiring, distributing and co ordinating information through the pre-site and construction phases
- Preparing for PCG meetings and providing high quality PCG reporting for distribution to key stakeholders both internal and external
- Adhering to established project budget and cost management strategies
- Building a customer focused process to deliver high service levels; and
- Coordinating publicity regarding the progress of the project.

- Substantial experience (5+ years) in the building industry, preferably in a volume builder new home environment covering both "Pre-site and Construction"
- A thorough understanding of building regulations, contracts and administration procedures is essential
- Demonstrated experience in Project Management – Microsoft Project (MPP)
- Demonstrated experience in Claims & Financial Management
- Qualifications in Construction Management or a construction-based background an advantage
- Strong program management skills (advanced level) in the MS Projects
- A high level of organizational and time management skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills particularly with clients/site/developers; and
