Join a leading charity dedicated to Social Housing and philanthropic initiatives in Victoria and have been doing so since the early 70s. They are focused on delivering projects and providing care for the disadvantaged over 50s in our community.
With a dedicated workforce and mandate to deliver care and housing facilities, they have a stable pipeline and a proactive approach to their vision. With a gap in the project team, they are looking to recruit an accomplished Project Manager with quality and cost in mind.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects with a budget of up to $15M and travel requirements that have a lasting impact on individuals and communities in need.
Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Take charge of the end-to-end project lifecycle, ensuring successful planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of projects within allocated budgets and timelines.
Social Housing Initiatives:
Spearheaded various Social Housing projects, collaborating with internal teams, external stakeholders, and housing partners to effectively deliver affordable, sustainable housing solutions for disadvantaged individuals.
Charity and Philanthropy:
Align projects with the organisation's mission and values, strongly focusing on charitable endeavours and philanthropic efforts to improve the lives of those in need.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including community members, government agencies, contractors, and other partners, to ensure smooth collaboration and project success.
Budgeting and Resource Management:
Develop project budgets, monitor expenses, and optimise resource allocation to maximise project outcomes within financial constraints.
Risk Management:
Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing potential challenges to ensure project delivery and quality outcomes.
Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, prepare progress reports, and present updates to senior management and project sponsors, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.

- Project Management Experience:
- Proven track record in successfully managing complex projects, preferably within the Social Housing sector or related construction fields, with a budget of up to $15M.
- Passion for Charity and Philanthropy:
- A genuine desire to contribute to social causes and positively impact the community through your work.
- Strong Communication Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities to effectively engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
- Collaborative Nature:
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment, fostering cooperation and achieving shared project goals.
- Analytical Thinking:
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to overcome challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
- Organisational Skills:
- Exceptional organisational abilities to manage multiple projects, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Adaptability:
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and embrace new approaches to achieve desired outcomes.
- Relevant Qualifications:
- A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field is highly desirable.
