• Permanent full-time position, working 35 hours per week
• Salary from $126,099.54 to $136,492.56 plus 11% superannuation and generous professional development

About the Role:

Reporting to the Manager Major Projects , this role will lead the design and construction of multiple complex infrastructure projects.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager with strong communication skills who can drive a challenging large scale complex projects schedule whilst also engaging with internal council stakeholders to ensure the project delivers on their requirements as the asset owner/ operator.

the successful candidate will:

• Manage the design and infrastructure delivery phase of significant community large scale, complex construction projects.
• Achieve project delivery goals (encompassing scope, quantity, quality, and time, safety, environmental and cost) by actively coordinating and overseeing the planning, design, procurement, contract negotiation, construction and hand over processes across the organisation.
• Collaborate with and coordinate internal and external resources to optimise project outcomes
• Support the Division and the Projects on the development, implementation, management and reporting of the project.

To be successful in your application you will demonstrate:

• Degree qualification in a construction, engineering, project management, or other relevant field.
• Current Class C Drivers Licence • General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Proved track record of managing the construction of large scale, complex infrastructure projects and capital works projects, particularly within a developed urban environment
• Demonstrated experience in coordinating multi-disciplinary teams including staff, consultants and contractors in delivering large and diverse construction projects
• Extensive experience in developing and effectively managing construction project plans and budgets at all phases of construction projects

Desirable Criteria

• Demonstrated experience using Project Management Software (ie Acconex, Procore or Similar).
• Demonstrated experience undertaking Records Management activities.
• Demonstrated experience managing larger scale complex projects through the project gateway approval process
• Knowledge of Local Government procurement and delivery processes
