Serco has a dedicated team of over 600 people supporting operations at Fiona Stanley Hospital and works in close partnership with the hospital leadership, WA Health, clinicians, and staff to deliver essential non-clinical facilities management, ICT and HR managed services. Our specialist team designs, manages and optimises the integrated services and are critical to the ongoing delivery of clinical services in Western Australia's largest and most digitally enabled public healthcare facility.
About the Role
This is a 9-Month Fixed Term Contract.
The Estate Service at FSH plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe environment for high-quality patient care. As an Estates Project Manager, you will oversee multiple projects involving Additional Works related to the Building Components, and associated Building Services. This role involves managing various Estates-related support, including contractor management and approvals for utilities isolations and permits.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing proposed projects through the entire project management lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution, and closing, with ongoing monitoring and reporting
- Using the organisation’s processes and tools to manage projects, including scope documentation, requirements gathering, financial management, risk analysis, and stakeholder communications
- Ensuring project delivery minimises service interruptions and has client approvals and risk mitigations in place
- Chairing required meetings and preparing project reports as necessary
- Investigating change proposals with relevant stakeholders
About You
You are an organised and proactive individual with strong leadership skills and the ability to build and maintain effective teams. Your excellent written and verbal communication skills enable you to liaise and negotiate with a range of stakeholders. You are adept at managing multiple projects within a complex environment, demonstrating initiative and working effectively under pressure.
Your ideal skills & experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or relevant industry experience
- Experience in Electrical, Mechanical, and/ or HVAC ideally in a healthcare environment is highly desirable
- Project Management certification i.e. PMP or Prince2 highly desirable
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of maintenance management systems and related processes
- Strong report writing and presentation skills
- Proficiency in using computer systems for high-level reporting, financial and resource analysis
