About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for two highly motivated Project Managers with experience in Hydro Mining to work on our long-term Ravenswood Gold Hydro Mining Project in North Queensland. As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role to manage project scope, budget, schedule, resources, and quality. You will lead a highly effective team, ensuring that all projects are successfully designed, built, and executed on time, on budget, and injury free.
This is a great FIFO/DIDO opportunity from Brisbane / Mackay / Townsville / Cairns working an even time roster consisting of 14 days on and 14 days off.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all onsite Hydro Mining and rehabilitation activities associated within the project scope.
- Manage all preventative and breakdown maintenance activities for all equipment.
- Manage continuous improvement projects associated with Hydro Mining & Rehabilitation.
- Assist NPE Engineering department in the development of short, mid and long term hydro mining plans.
- Assist in design reviews and development with NPE engineering department as required.
- Assist in the development and review of procedures and documentation relating to Hydro Mining Production, Safety and Environmental management.
- Identify and exploit operational efficiencies within the hydro mining department.
- Identity, review and manage commercial risk.
- Innovate, problem solve and improve all aspects of hydro mining with focus on achieving industry best-practice.
- Complete all internal and external reporting as required.
- Ensure all Operations personnel are clear on daily tasks and production targets.
- Manage all operational personnel rosters and logistics.
- Liaising with external/internal stakeholder demands, conflicts and change.
- Attend client and internal meetings as required.
CORE COMPENTENCIES & SKILLS
Essential:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in operational/maintenance role with Hydro Mining Operation.
- Minimum 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in mine site rehabilitation activities.
- G1, G8, G9 Certification (Former S1, S2, S3).
- Current C Class Driver license.
Desirable:
- Demonstrated experience with inspHire, Pronto, or SAP and MS Office to a proficient level.
- Qualifications in Maintenance.
- Qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety or associated fields.
- Qualification in Training and Assessment (Cert IV or higher).
- Frontline Management.
- First Aid Certificate.
