We are currently seeking an accomplished Project Manager for one of our projects in the Moranbah region.
In this role you will be accountable for the safe, efficient, smooth and profitable delivery of the daily operational activity & workshops and for building and maintaining a strong relationship with our customer and local community.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, your major focus will be leading the day to day haulage, and workshop activities, communicating and reporting to the customer; driving safety initiatives; managing the workforce and delivering profitable results for the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development and execution of the overall Project Execution Strategy that optimises the commercial return on the contract;
- Contribute to the development and reviews of Project Plans that incorporate Production, Plant/Equipment, Maintenance and manning requirements;
- Work closely with the Client to ensure an achievable schedule is set and maintained for the project;
- Ensure that expenditure against project budget is authorised in accordance with authority levels and agreed control costs;
- Ensure quality assurance, safety, environmental and HR/IR programs are established by all parties and maintained;
- Ensure timely reporting and investigation of incidents;
- Achieve operational and plant performance targets as measured by agreed KPI’s;
- Prepare Monthly Project Reports and ensure that all the clients reporting requirements are complied with;
- Highly developed Commercial acumen and capable of managing operational budgets.
- Lead the site team to safely and efficiently deliver the production outcomes required for the project as detailed in the project Production Plan;
- Provide coaching and mentoring for the site team by monitor performance expectations by developing clear objectives, measures and targets; and
- Work with Supervisors and identify members of the workforce for succession planning to ensure there is a pool of skilled employees is available, for future projects.
The candidate will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in relevant engineering discipline (mining, civil or geology) or extensive relevant on the job experience;
- Certificate IV in Project Management;
- ICAM Investigation qualification;
- National Police Clearance; and
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
