AddressRandstad are currently partnering with a family owned and operated South Australian business specialising in manufacturing high quality metal door frames, timber & speciality doors for the commercial building industry and the high security sector.
Job Title : Project Manager/Estimator
Salary: $120,000 per annum + superannuation + vehicle
Location: 20 minutes north of Adelaide
Your Role:
Reporting and working closely with the General Manager, you will be responsible for the Estimation and compliance of tendering upcoming projects and enquiries, as well as contributing to the future growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of construction tender bids
- Door and frame quantity take offs
- Scoping of orders in accordance with specifications and company requirements
- Complete reporting of variations that may arise during construction builds
- Maintain organised files and appropriate documentation of completed work
- Establishing cost estimates, prelims and assessing projects risks in consultation with the General Manager
- Reviewing and understanding contract terms and conditions
- Involvement with post tender negotiations and reviewing tender performances
- Site Measures and Quote Inspections
- Assist with Certification/Inspection Reports for Fire Door Systems
- Ensure that all quotes comply NCC and customer specifications
- Project Management from start to finish
- Build relationships and build on company growth
Requirements:
- Experience in estimating within the construction industry & strong understanding of construction process
- Experience in reading plans and door schedules
- White Card
- Formal qualifications in estimating/building & construction or relevant trade background
- Experience with estimating programs such as BidContender/Estimate One and management software Aconex
- Understanding of BCA Requirements as well as Fire Door requirements under the testing approved (not essential, on the job training available)
- Minimum 3 years experience in similar role
