STTARS is a non-government, not for profit organisation who have been operating in South Australia since 1991. STTARS has no political or religious affiliations.
STTARS provides counselling and support services to people from refugee and migrant backgrounds who have experienced torture or been traumatised as a result of persecution, violence, war or unlawful imprisonment prior to arrival in Australia.
We are currently seeking a Project Officer for the Adelaide Refugee and New Arrivals Program (ARANAP) and would like to fill the position as soon as possible.
The purpose of the position is to provide a high level of administrative support for the ARANAP team.
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES INCLUDE:
As Project Officer, you will work with the Nurse Lead to ensure effective processes are embedded, which support monitoring of both ARANAP program and client outcomes.
The Project Officer will be responsible for:
- Monitor program outputs and client outcomes through data collection and reporting, by understanding program objectives and targets by developing tools to measure service quality.
- Monitor reporting schedules and support the Nurse Lead to provide accurate and timely internal and external reports.
- Coordinate and meet program deadlines for the completion and submission of activity based reports.
- Maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including the Adelaide Primary Health Network, Australian Refugee Association (ARA) and Refugee Health Service (RHS).
- Arrange regular meetings with key stakeholders or other agencies to support sector partnerships and clear client pathways.
- Support the Nurse Lead to develop program resources.
- Maintain the program database by collecting, recording and entering program related data.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Excellent administrative skills.
- Be highly organised in both time and resources; managing progress reports and timetables
- Experience in program administration, developing procedures and forms, and overseeing and monitoring program objectives through data collection and collation.
- Be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Demonstrate experience working with database applications.
- Experience in reporting to funding bodies, is desirable.
The applicant must:
- Hold a valid and current DHS Working with Children Check
- Hold a valid and current DHS Vulnerable Person-Related Employment Check
- Hold a valid and current National Criminal History Check (Police check)
- Be an Australian resident or hold a current Australian work permit (note: employees of STTARS are required to maintain their right to work in Australia for the duration of their employment and therefore must comply with all terms of any such grant of a right to work in Australia).
SALARY:
Salary is based on the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award (SCHADS) 2010 - Level 3.
