The Business Services Division provides a range of business and operational support services for the whole of Communities central to Communities' accounting and financial management and performance.
As part of the Public Sector's Agency Capability Review program, West Australian agencies, including Communities, are reviewing their abilities to ensure their optimal performance and continued improvement.
Successful applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments will be made for this team or similar future opportunities (fixed term or permanent) that arise within the next 12 months across Communities.
The Project Team
The Business Services division is establishing a newly formed team of project professionals who together will provide critical business advisory services. This is your opportunity to add value to the agency's ongoing performance and capability.
Level 5 - Project Officer
- Well-developed ability to establish and maintain working relationships and effectively communicate with others both in writing and verbally.
- Apply your experience of project management techniques and procedures to conduct project scoping and planning through the compilation of project risk reports.
- Use conceptual, analytical and evaluation skills to investigate and review proposed mitigation strategies.
Level 6 - Senior Project Officer
- Exercise your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective communication channels with Project Teams, internal and external clients, stakeholders, and customers to ensure successful project/program outcomes.
- Apply your highly developed conceptual and analytical ability, to prepare detailed analysis of project and consolidated program data to interpret and present findings to key stakeholders.
- Use your well-developed experience in project management coordination to drive delivery against the plan, ensure cross team coordination and prepare consolidated reporting for various stakeholders.
Level 7 - Principal Project Officer
- Apply your substantial experience in project management to develop, lead and manage a range of activities and initiatives in support of the division's objectives.
- Use your highly developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, develop and maintain productive relationships with key stakeholders to form strategic partnerships and collaborations.
- Exercise your highly developed conceptual, research, analytical and problem-solving skills, including strategic data and budget analysis to coordinate, lead and manage detailed research, analysis and evaluation in support of the division's objectives.
Ideal applicants for these positions will be pro-active, team orientated, collaborative people who are passionate about achieving effective project outcomes. People with experience working in project roles with an analytical and financial acumen are encouraged to apply.
