About the Role
They are currently seeking a Learning & Development Officer to join the team in Picton, with flexibility to work remotely from home. This is an estimated 6-month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend.
Working within the People & Wellbeing Business Unit, you will play a pivotal role in the development of the organisations Corporate and Mandatory Training Register, as well as conducting various training needs analysis based on the register to ensure all positions are in line with the Corporate and Mandatory Training Policy.
Responsibilities
- Partner with key stakeholders across business to identify WHS, learning and development needs
- Create procedures to ensure the appropriate administration of the Corporate and Mandatory Training Register
- Update the selection criteria of all position descriptions, where required.
- Assist in the consultation process with staff, management, and consultative committee
- Audit all staff qualifications, accreditations and licences, ensuring accurate records are stored in content manager and learning management system
- Identify organisational training needs based off audit
- Provide support to the Senior Organisational Learning Officer
- Any adhoc duties required
About You
- Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate with stakeholders across all levels
- Confident, resilient and professional
- High attention to detail
- Adaptable, quick thinking, problem solving, negotiation, influencing and analytical skills
- Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suite
Requirements
- Tertiary Qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Design, Work Health & Safety, Training or an equivalent field
- Demonstrated HR project experience
- Local Government experience advantageous
- Valid Drivers licence and own transport
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
- Ability to commence immediately and commit to the duration of the assignment
