Project Quality Manager

GR Engineering Services Limited (GRES) specialises in providing high quality engineering design and construction services to the mining and mineral processing industries. Our services cover all aspects of a project life cycle from the initial evaluation and study phase through to design, constructions, commissioning and operational support.The RoleAs the Project Quality Manager reporting to the Project Manager, you will support the implementation of the QA/QC management system and support the Project Quality team to project handover.The Project Quality Manager is responsible for ( but not limited to ) Support the implementation of the QA/QC management system.Assist the Project Manager in developing measures to correct non-compliances and implement preventive actions.Develop QA documents prior to starting work at site.Working with relevant engineers and supervisors, ensure that all ITPs are complete and approved for use.Verify that quality related site activities are completed in accordance with the applicable codes and standards.Verify that subcontractor quality requirements are specified to vendors and monitor subcontractor documentation submittals.Management and verification of qualifications and training requirements for quality inspection resources and processes.Control and the distribution of all the QA/QC documentation.Monitor and coordinate project audits and maintain Project Assurance Schedule.Perform internal and external audits on behalf of the project as per Project Assurance Schedule.Provide support regarding site QA/QC activities to the project site management team.Attend client and internal quality management meetings.Coordinate all quality matters and related correspondence with the client’s QA/QC representatives.Coordinate the approval of the site’s QC technical submittals to the client.Working with relevant engineers and supervisors, ensure that all Supplier MDRs and IOMs are approved.Monitor and ensure compliance with project filing system requirements.What you’ll bring to the team:Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a Project Quality management role (preferably resource / construction industry.Qualified auditor of quality systems.Proven conceptual, research, planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.Experienced in report writing for internal cascade and management level.Relevant tertiary qualification (Quality, Engineering, Construction Management ).Strong influencing and negotiation skills.Knowledge of relevant construction standards.Knowledge of welding processes.to apply them to a project management processExtensive working knowledge of ISO 9001Full and unrestricted Australian working rightsWhat’s on offer:With over 800 employees across Australia, our focus is to create a rewarding working environment where you will be valued and appreciated for your knowledge, experience and innovative mind.
