Leonardo's Helicopter Division (LHD) performs research, design, development, production, customer support and marketing of Leonardo's extensive range of products; modern helicopters and tiltrotors for civil, paramedic, public and defense applications. The Division manages the entire helicopter development and production cycle. Production and assembly plants are concentrated in Italy, UK, Poland and the US. The AW139, AW169 and AW189 models are part of a family of new generation helicopters, all featuring the same design philosophy and the same certification and safety standards.
The Australian subsidiary is a full service operation undertaking business development, logistics management, aircraft assembly and maintenance and other related support functions. Engineering activities are concerned with aircraft assembly and disassembly for transport by air and sea, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, aircraft modifications and deployed support to customer maintenance activities. Typical customers are emergency services, offshore operators, government and private customers.
About the roleLeonardo Australia is seeking a Project Scheduler to provide scheduling support to the Electronics Line of Business. Key deliverables in the role are broken down into Project Scheduling and Project Administration.
Project Scheduling:
- Develop and maintain multiple project schedules for Electronic Line of Business projects.
- Integrate Work Breakdown Structures, milestones, contractor schedules, resources and dependencies in the project schedules.
- Assist Project Managers with the planning and scheduling of tasks, planning and integrating schedules, and updating progress using Primavera P6, MS Project and SharePoint.
- With support from Project Managers, update schedules with resource usage, costs, and durations, and amend where necessary to mitigate schedule risks.
- Provide clear communications to project members and present schedule information during workshops and monthly reviews.
- Arrange and co-ordinate meetings to update schedule.
- Record, prepare and distribute updated schedules in a timely manner.
- Anticipate needs of PMO and take initiative to provide the required support activities.
Project Administration Responsibilities:
- Support Quality document reviews.
- Provide input to business development activities, project planning activities, and lessons learned capture sessions.
- 3-5 years project experience in a scheduling role.
- Primavera P6 Practitioner.
- MS Project Practitioner.
- Cert IV in Business Administration (or similar) would be highly regarded.
Essential:
- Prior experience in leading, managing and influencing an integrated planning environment.
- Experienced in delivering all aspects of an integrated planning reporting framework.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work within mixed teams and independently when required.
- Strong written and communication skills, including oral and written presentation skills.
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism.
- Minimum intermediate competency with MS Office Suite (word, excel and PowerPoint).
- Must be eligible for Australian Defense Security Clearance.
Desirable:
- Experience within a project orientated environment.
- Experience in manufacturing or construction environments.
