Based in Brighton with unobstructed views of Port Philip Bay, our office doors are always open. You can expect to work with a team where everyone is a subject matter expert, they know exactly what needs to be done and how to do it.

So where do you fit in?

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Scheduler with quantity surveying experience to join our dynamic team on site in Melbourne, Australia. This role is crucial for our Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Project, where you will be responsible for monitoring Contractors' resources, progress, and deliverables. You will be working closely with the portfolio Project Controls Manager, Project Manager and Director, Project Delivery to ensure the Project's timely and cost-effective completion.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the Contractors' resource allocation, ensuring optimal utilisation for Project efficiency in line with the Contractors’ baseline schedule;
• Monitor the progress of the Project against the schedule, identify any delays or issues, and propose solutions to keep the Project on track and ensure that all milestones are met as per the project timeline;
• Ensure that all Project deliverables meet quality standards and are completed within the set timelines with conducting regular inspections and audits to assess the quality of work;
• Perform detailed cost analysis, prepare budgets, and manage project costs. Conduct risk assessments and provide solutions for cost control.
• Review and analyse Contractor agreements and ensure compliance with contractual terms;
• Provide comprehensive reports on project status, resources, and progress to the Project Controls Manager with maintain accurate records and documentation for all Project activities;
• Utilise Primavera P6 software for advanced project scheduling, planning, and progress tracking with ensuring data accuracy and integrity in the system;
• Act as a key point of contact for Project stakeholders and communicate effectively with contractors, suppliers, and team members to ensure alignment and collaboration;
• Ensure all Project activities comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements in promoting a safe working environment on Site;
• Identify potential changes in Project scope and recommend appropriate action with managing and documenting all change requests and impacts on the Project;
• Work closely with the Project team to coordinate efforts and share information; and
• Proactively identify potential issues and develop innovative solutions to address project challenges.

WHAT'S NEEDED FOR SUCCESS

• Minimum of 5-10 years in project scheduling and quantity surveying, preferably in the energy sector or related fields;
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field;
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 software is essential;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with team members and stakeholders; and
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
