Essential
- Experienced in engineering calculations design, reports, estimating, planning, and management of the process
- The manufacture of heavy and high-precision engineering seals and equipment, using such materials a PU 94 AU 300000;
- Ability to manage multiple work fronts and execute the actions required within WAICE Seals ERP system;
- The ability to liaise effectively with customers and vendors.
- The ability to work and manage jobs as part of a team in high-pressure situations.
- Create project information that identifies the responsibilities of the manufacturing team members in the production of seals and related components
- Monitoring and refining the work measurement programs, including physical assessment of manufactured seals and components analysing work against pre-production standards
- Able to conduct extensive research and development of seals, to assist clients in extending their cylinder life
- Review operational data and production schedules and costs to ensure cost-effective production methods are applied to the manufacture of seals and related components
- Review and revise standards and policies for installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection, and maintenance according to engineering principles and safety regulations;
- Inspect manufacturing equipment along with mechanical production team staff to ensure optimum performance is maintained;
- organising and managing project labor and the delivery of materials, plant, and equipment;
- Review the design of mechanical equipment, machines, components, products for manufacture, and plant and systems for construction to ensure continuous improvement principles are applied to the manufacture of our high-quality seals
- Establish, review, and improve the maintenance program of plant and equipment, and coordinate the requirements for new designs, surveys and maintenance schedules.
- Associates at least an Australian bachelor's degree or equivalent degree accredited by Engineers Australia in mechanical engineering.
- Proficient computer skills, including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, NX, Windows, Word, and Excel.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, and teamwork skills;
- Able to work with limited supervision, follow directions, a willingness to learn while maintaining attention to detail
