My client is a national organization who have seen a large growth spurt over the last couple of years and will continue to grow over the next several years as well.
Very established in the Lighting field they are a product choice of many and a business that provides an excellent customer and after care service.
Although they are an established business and very well-known across Australia, they are looking for another Sales Professional to attach a certain division of their portfolio.
The Role
The main objectives of this role are to execute a strategy to achieve forecast sales plans and provide technical sales support to customers.
You will be penetrating and increasing loyalty with key stakeholders to deliver measurable specifications and overall market conversion of the Lighting portfolio.
You will be engaging in a variety of sectors to include: Large Projects, Councils, Commercial, Education, Urban Renewal, Transportation as well as Public Spaces.
This is a Business Development Manager position and growing and developing new clients through cold calling, existing contacts or referral are all part of the daily life within this role.
Developing specifications with a variety of projects while speaking with Electrical Contractors, Engineers, Councils and End Users to ensure that your products are first choice on projects.
You will have full accountability for the NSW market and there is not only plenty of business to make this position a success but the territory is up to you.
You will from time to time be required to travel to ACT as well.
Skills & Experience Needed
- A strong understanding of technical lighting applications
- Specification sales process through projects with a long life cycle
- An understanding of Tier 1 & Tier 2 Electrical Contractors
- Understanding and identification of the needs of Councils, Key Stakeholders and End Users to turn into sales
- Focused, results driven & above all, professional
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, be a great listener and understand what the client wants and needs
Salary and Benefits
- Base - $100,000 to $125,000
