There is currently an opportunity for a confident and resilient leader to join the Property Acquisition Function across NSW and QLD.
The Opportunity
As a Property Acquisition Manager, you will oversee a team of Property Acquisition experts handling technical land acquisition matters.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead the program of land acquisition – including resourcing, program management, strategy and governance
- Develop strong outcomes focused, partnering relationships with State agencies facilitating the acquisition of land
- Oversight negotiations with internal and external stakeholders to reach agreement on the conditions and terms of purchase of property
- Maintain a highly functional understanding of QLD and NSW compulsory land acquisition regimes and develop client-side processes to ensure efficiency of resources.
- Ensure the delivery of land acquisition information and packages for acquisition of freehold, state/local governments, statutory authorities land and interests.
Position Requirements
- Tertiary qualified (degree qualification in technical, legal, property or other relevant discipline)
- Strong negotiation and management skills
- High-level interpersonal skills and empathy for stakeholder issues
- Highly developed problem-resolution skills with experience in relationship management and empathy for stakeholder issues
- Knowledge of and experience in real estate valuation, negotiations for land acquisition and/or compulsory acquisition of land.
- Strong risk management experience with an ability to assist in evaluating identified risks/opportunities and development of agreed strategies and management plans to mitigate risk
