Analyst role focusing on the origination of new opportunities within the industrial and logistics markets across the Eastern Seaboard.
scouted. are currently working with an A-REIT Property Development & Investment Management Group, specialising in industrial and logistics property, commercial & large format retail. This highly successful group is currently managing in excess of $6 billion of real estate investments across Australia and New Zealand. Recently, they have been awarded an institutional capital mandate to secure industrial development/investment opportunities on a variety of risk spectrums.In this role, you will be working with an experienced team, and importantly an easy-going, empathetic but highly ambitious leader who will provide high-quality mentorship to you. Working closely with senior staff across the country you will be a critical team member in considering new property opportunities whether they are investment grade assets or new development sites, including pre-lease deals, all whilst supporting the business more broadly across its funds' management activities.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Detailed financial modelling (Excel), having the ability to build & modify bespoke models on an as-needed basis (land acquisition, development, subdivision and sales / pre-lease transactions/acquisition of existing real property/syndicate, fund models etc)
- Analyse potential sites, existing assets, and pre-leasing opportunities and advise/making recommendations based on the resulting analysis
- Experience in portfolio management and fund-level reporting
- An understanding of the acquisition process, inclusive of due diligence activities, report writing, the structuring and financing of new transactions
- Assisting with the preparation of Information memorandums and data room materials for property transactions
- Data collation, collection, and preparation for various internal and external reports.
- Identifying and driving value-add initiatives; and
- The management and coordination of extensive research at both asset and sector levels.
- 3-5 years of Real Estate experience in the following areas - Valuation, Real Estate Finance or Property Development - Industrial experience is key!!
- Ability to analyse real estate and industry trends from a strategic point of view;
- Experience in building/reviewing bespoke property development feasibilities on feasibility/modelling software programs
- Think creatively and contribute to project success.
- Demonstrate strong initiative and ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Higher education at Degree level or above
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills.
