Trinity Residential College has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Property and Facilities Manager. Leading a small team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining an attractive environment for the College community ensuring that staff, residents and guests are provided with high quality and appropriate services in a timely, effective and friendly manner. We are looking for someone who can balance an active hands-on approach with the organisational and management skills required to do the job successfully.
About the College
Trinity Residential College is a ‘home away from home’ for over 400 tertiary education students. Located on campus at the University of Western Australia, we offer an all-inclusive student accommodation experience for both international and domestic students. With beautifully lush and spacious grounds, at ‘Trin’ we are renowned for our vibrant community and supportive culture, while being conveniently located close to the Swan River and Perth CBD. The site is approximately 6 acres and includes a variety of administration and accommodation buildings along with dining and recreational facilities.
About the role
The key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Prioritise and schedule all maintenance items relating to College Property and Facilities.
- Supervise a small team and delegate tasks according to skills and experience.
- Develop and manage a proactive annual Preventative Maintenance Schedule for all buildings.
- Liaise with the College’s preferred contractors and develop strong working relationships.
- Ensure safe workplace practices are maintained.
- Where required liaise with local council, water authority, electricity and gas providers and other regulatory bodies.
- Be a good ambassador of the College and be involved in the life of the College where possible, including attending staff meetings and appropriate College events.

Essential Criteria
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team to achieve common goals while maintaining a willingness to actively participate as a member of the team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Extensive experience in performing maintenance tasks of all types.
- Ability to prioritise competing tasks and manage the workload of team.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office suite of programs and a willingness to implement technology.
- The ability to use initiative and find innovative solutions to problems.
Desirable Criteria
- Qualified tradesperson (e.g., electrician or plumber)
- Experience working in a similar environment.
- Experience in project management software would be highly advantageous.
