About your new role: The People, Property & Safety Division have a new eighteen (18) month fixed term opportunity for a Property Architectural Draftsperson.
In your role, you’ll be responsible for providing professional, efficient, accurate and timely drafting and design services to the Planning, Strategy & Performance Department, as well as being responsible for the timely and accurate management of Asset Planning databases for Energy Queensland’s (EQL) Property portfolio.Your day will have you managing databases, maintaining currency and accuracy of the Corporate Portfolio’s Site Plans, Building Plans and Fire Evacuation Plans and related drawings and files, developing templates for drawings and specifications of various plan types for Property Group staff, You also initiate the identification, investigation, appraisal and implementation of state-of-the-art software, and integration of innovative solutions into building design and drafting practices and standards.You’ll be located at Newstead. The remuneration for your new role is from · 9 day fortnight - $107K plus 12.75% super.· 10-day fortnight - $123K plus 12.75% super. About you: You’re an experienced property (and building) drafter with a Diploma in drafting, design architecture, architectural design or surveying and hold a ‘C’ class drivers’ licence. You have proficiency in the use of CAD software, in order undertake various concept and detailed design drawings, and a demonstrated capability to be able work and manage databases, and work with MS products such as Word, Excel, Power Point etc. To ensure the safety of the community and staff is maintained, you’ll also have a working knowledge of good commercial and industrial building design principles and construction and maintenance practices. You’ll leverage your well-developed communication skills with a range of employees at all levels across the business, to manage stakeholder expectations, establish customer requirements and provide effective guidance.It would be desirable if you hold accreditation with a relevant industry body, such as the Building Designers Association of Australia, Architect Accreditation Council.
