About the Role
- Full time (35 hour work week)
- On-going opportunity
- Based in our Penrith office, with Monday and Friday in our Katoomba office; with travel to properties in the Western Sydney / Blue Mountains
The role of Tenancy Manager is responsible for the performance of a full range of tenancy management functions to assist clients to achieve long-term sustainable tenancies with Link Wentworth.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Tenancy management including tenancy sign-ups and client service visits (property inspections)
- Arrears management including supporting and referring tenants to other community organisations to assist them in reducing their debt
- Managing anti-social behaviour and other breach of tenancy issues (other than rental and non-rental arrears)
- Building and maintaining relationships with key support providers and making referrals to other services where appropriate
- Representing Link Wentworth at the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT) as required
Who we are looking for:
The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum three (3) or more years of property management experience
- Demonstrated experience or understanding of the social housing sector and the nature of the customers who seek or live in social housing
- Demonstrated knowledge of policy and legislation applying to residential tenancy management
- Demonstrated understanding of effective arrears management practices
- Good negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to liaise with a number of stakeholders including tenants from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships with identified support agencies and community services
- Empathy and compassion for others who face disadvantage
You will also need:
- A current driver’s licence valid in the state of NSW
- At least two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations, meaning, having received the primary course of an Australian Government approved COVID-19 vaccination
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check to Link Wentworth's satisfaction
