About the Role:This is a permanent, part-time (0.4 EFT) position at 30.4 per fortnight within RCH Mental Health.You will be responsible for assessing diagnostically difficult and treatment non-responsive young people to assist the DNP in providing consultation, mental health assessment and treatment for children and families with complex mental health difficulties. A particular focus of the program is children and young people referred to Wadja Aboriginal Family PlaceClassification for this position will range from PK1 (Grade 2 Year 1) - PK4 (Grade 2 Year 4) (base salary $37,792 - 42,763 per annum, plus superannuation)What you'll achieve:
  • Deliver excellent evidence-based practice psychology assessments and interventions.
  • Maintain clinical documentation, records and data as per guidelines and RCH procedures.
  • Provide clinical handover to required standard.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Support less experienced staff in their patient management and clinical reasoning with complex
Your skills and experience:
  • Completion of an accredited Master or Doctoral program in an area of practice recognised by the Psychology Board of Australia. (Please note Master of Professional Psychology qualification does not meet this criterion)
  • Hold general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (Board)
  • Hold an Area of Practice Endorsement, or be eligible and willing to undertake a registrar program (a Board-approved post-Masters Degree or post-Doctoral Degree supervised practice program for the purpose of gaining an area of practice endorsement)
