South Eastern Private Hospital is proud to present a new exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Grade 2 or Grade 3 Psychologist/Clinical Psychologist with highly developed interpersonal skills and a commitment to excellence to join our Mental Health Team!
Key Duties and responsibilities:
- Collaborating as part of an interdisciplinary team (e.g., psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, pharmacists and exercise physiologists) to provide patient-centred care.
- Assessing and diagnosing an individual's needs, abilities or behaviour using a variety of methods, including psychometric tests, interviews and direct observation of behaviours.
- Facilitating appropriate interventions in collaboration with multidisciplinary team to aid recovery of patients experiencing different mental health symptomology and issues. This can include:
- Rehabilitating patients into the community.
- Be part of the development and evaluation of mental health services/programs.
- Carrying out applied research, adding to the evidence base of practice in a variety of health care settings.
- Facilitating day group programs;
- Facilitating inpatient groups and individual therapy;
Desirable/Essential Criteria
- Current and full registration with AHPRA.
- Knowledge and/or experience in a range of different therapeutic models (e.g., DBT, ACT, CBT, or Trauma-informed Therapy)
- Experience in facilitation of individual and/or group therapy
- Experience working with adults and older adults in mental health settings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- A commitment to quality improvement
- A commitment to CPD in your relevant field
- New psychology graduates with full AHPRA general registration will also be considered for Grade 2 role.
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in mental health settings within Australia (for Grade 3 role)
