Hey You!Are you a passionate, safety-focused individual who is up for a challenge? genU is looking to engage a Psychosocial Risk Advisor to provide guidance and embed a "safety first" culture at our workplace.
As a Psychosocial Risk Advisor, you will coach, advise, and consult stakeholders on Health, Safety & Wellbeing procedures, programs, and policies that support employee, client, and volunteer safety and minimise the potential for risks and harm throughout the organisation. The Psychosocial Risk Advisor will provide specific support on organisational Psychosocial Risks and hazards.
You will join a collaborative team of specialists that support the Group National Manager of Health, Safety & Wellbeing to champion and drive a safe and sustainable work environment. As we grow and mature, come join us in creating a safer future for genU!
This is a full-time ongoing role with the capacity to be based anywhere in Australia where genU operates.
Flexible working arrangements available, with no defined requirements for working in an office, however the role will require regional travel!
About YouOur ideal Health, Safety & Wellbeing Specialist will have a genuine passion for the health and safety of our people. You will be able to demonstrate the following:
Demonstrated experience in identifying and reducing Psychosocial Risk factors with particular emphasis on work related violence and aggression
Strong interpersonal skills to engage and work with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
Ability to facilitate and conduct risk assessments, safety investigations and safety training programs
Ability to facilitate psychosocial safety coaching and training programs for small or large groups
Knowledge and application of current work health and safety legislation, regulations and codes of practice
Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce quality reports, procedures and training materials
Ability to interpret relevant legislation and standards
Experience in the disability sector is desirable
The following are essential:
Tertiary qualifications in occupational health and safety, psychology, counselling and/or experience in a relevant field
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain
Current NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate of completion or willingness to obtain
Certificate IV in Training & Assessment is highly desirable
