YOUR ROLE
The Regional Risk Advisor is responsible for supporting the enterprise-wide risk management program. This role contributes to the delivery of best-practice processes and methodologies to assess and manage risks consistently across MACS, with a focus on providing advice and guidance to schools in one of the four geographic regions. They will collaborate with all directorates and business units to identify, assess, and monitor school and enterprise level risks and reports risks and mitigations to the Manager Risk, and Enterprise Risk Specialist. In carrying out this role, the Regional Risk Advisor will demonstrate a commitment to the mission of Catholic education and promote strong, shared leadership, creativity, and innovative practice.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Support a suite of schools with BAU risk requests, enquiries, annual risk register updates and preparation for cyclical regulatory reviews
- Support all aspects of the risk function within MACS, including implementation of processes, tools, and systems to identify, assess, measure, manage, monitor, and report on risks
- Support risk assurance, monitoring, and effective implementation, inclusive of strategies to build risk culture and capability, supporting teams to design appropriate strategies, as well as embed risk management processes and controls across all aspects of operations
- Build risk awareness amongst staff by providing support and training, to embed a risk management culture across MACS
- Assist in identifying and assessing risks associated with the organisation's operations, policies, and procedures, and provide guidance on appropriate risk mitigation strategies
ABOUT YOU
- Experience working collaboratively with and communicating effectively to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders on complex matters
- Proven practical experience in the design and implementation of business improvement strategies and processes with a strong drive for continuous improvement
- Demonstrated understanding and experience working with ISO31000:2018 - Risk Management Guidelines
- Demonstrated experience planning and facilitating risk workshops for all levels of internal stakeholders
