P/T Medical Receptionist/Secretary - Specialist Vascular Surgeon

We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated and experienced Medical receptionist/secretary for 3 days per week, starting immediately.

Working days – Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday with flexibility to cover other staff.

Location: SJOG Subiaco

Essential criteria

• Prior Medical Secretary experience with a Medical Specialist essential
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Medical Administration/Reception
• Great attention to detail with data entry Genie experience essential
• Great time management & organisational skills
• Reliability and strong work ethic
• High level of integrity and empathy towards patients needs
• Ability to work independently with initiative and as a team member
• Excellent verbal communication skills, enthusiastic and positive attitude
• Strong computer skills and typing ability 

Principal Duties

• Admin support during Clinics, including greeting patients, processing payments and generating invoices
• General administrative duties: answering phone calls, emails and other enquiries 
• Organising patient referrals and co-ordinating bookings in a timely manner
• Appointment book management - consultations/procedures/theatre
• Maintaining electronic patient records 
• Liasing and corresponding with patients, GP's and other Specialists
• Any additional tasks as required by the practice and flexibility to cover leave

Salary to be discussed depending on experience.
