The opportunity
We are currently looking for a motivated and passionate Public Area Manager to join our flagship property at Brisbane Skytower in full time salaried role. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is ready to lead and develop team of Public Area cleaners.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of cleaners
- Maintain standards of a 90-level building, this includes all the common areas, 3 levels of gym & pool
- Ensure the property always looks its best, inside and out
- Embrace the cleaning challenge, sprucing up both indoor and outdoor Public Areas (including pool, gym and shared bathrooms) to meet our high cleanliness and presentation standards
- Create rosters ensuring adequate coverage
- Assist, support, coach and guide your team demonstrating knowledge and experience specific to Public Area including training of permanent and casual staff, assessing training needs
- Expertly handle specialised equipment and chemicals with safety in mind
- Offering help to guests with inquiries and security matters, and collaborating with different departments to accomplish tasks
- Be the eyes and ears for our maintenance and guest services teams, reporting any issues promptly, from maintenance problems, to damaged equipment and missing items
- Keep up to date with knowledge of cleaning compounds, solvents, chemicals and industry trends
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 1 year experience as Public Area Manager
- Your communication style is warm and welcoming, making both guests and team members feel at ease
- You have an eye for detail and work efficiently, managing your time well and taking pride in your tasks
- Adaptability and physical fitness to work in both internal and external environments, including staircases and uncovered areas
- You enjoy collaborating with colleagues from various backgrounds
