An exceptional opportunity currently exists for a highly motivated and suitably experienced individual to join QPAC in the full-time term role of Publicity Manager (Leave Coverage).
This role reports to the Communications Manager and is responsible for the management and delivery of effective and efficient publicity and content outcomes for QPAC both from a corporate and commercial position.
Key responsibilities include managing the end-to-end publicity campaigns for multiple assigned events for QPAC presentations/co-presentations and commercial hirer events where QPAC publicity services have been recruited, ensuring ongoing communication with the Communications Manager, fellow Publicity Manager, Event Producers and Event Marketing.
In order to be successful for this position, you will possess:
- Demonstrated ability in identifying publicity and content opportunities in order to deliver positive business outcomes through targeted, audience-led campaigns.
- Experience delivering publicity and content outcomes across multiple projects by planning, establishing priorities and using insights and analytics, and achieving outcomes within specific deadlines by exercising initiative and judgment.
- Demonstrated experience working with media (traditional and online) as well as demonstrated understanding of, and experience in producing content for various social media channels.
- High standard of oral and written communication skills, including the ability to write press releases, long form news articles and web content.
- An ability to effectively liaise with a broad range of people at all levels within an organisation and external stakeholders with a commitment to providing a consistently high level of service.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and implement content creation, in coordination with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- A degree in communications, journalism or public relations.
