Where you'll be working
Northern Sydney Local Health District – Based at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital, you may be required to work across sites.
What you'll be doing
The NSLHD Nursing and Midwifery Workforce will be compassionate, competent, confident, contemporary, capable and committed to leading person-centred health care.
You will be part of a Communicable Disease team that has responsibility for developing strategic approaches to the surveillance and control of infectious disease within the community in the Northern Sydney Local Health District. Specific roles include receipt and response to notifications of notifiable disease under the Public Health Act, and the investigation of disease outbreaks.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and/or previous experience in Public Health or related field.
- Demonstrated experience & knowledge of current issues in communicable disease.
- Understanding of notifiable diseases and the role of the Public Health network in NSW.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team, with organisational and interpersonal skills.
