About the Role
Join our team as a Purchasing Officer, where you will be pivotal in managing and optimizing the procurement activities for IT and data communication products:
- Procurement Management: Develop and execute purchasing strategies that ensure long-term profitability and cost reduction.
- Advanced Data Analysis: Utilise advanced Excel skills to analyze procurement data effectively, aiding in decision-making and strategy formulation.
- Vendor Relations: Manage supplier selection and evaluation processes to maintain an optimum supplier base both nationally and internationally.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work effectively across business units to align procurement strategies with broader company goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, and/or Procurement.
- Experience: At least 3–5 years of advanced Excel experience. Previous experience in purchasing, preferably within the IT or data communications industries. Purchasing Experience with third party brands will be highly advantageous.
- Industry Knowledge: A strong understanding of the IT and data communications sectors, with insights into market trends and vendor landscapes.
- Communication Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organisational, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills are essential.
