Garlo's Pies is a 100% Australian owned and operated family business which bakes premium quality pies and pastry products, servicing over 400+ food service customers, major supermarkets, airlines in Australia and exporting to 9 countries around the world.
We are searching for an enthusiastic Purchasing Officer to join our team. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Purchasing Officer will be responsible for the purchasing of all raw ingredients, packaging and other miscellaneous consumables in the business. This position will also be responsible for regular cycle counts of ingredients and packaging and participating in end of month stock takes.
The Purchasing Officer is also responsible for Purchase Order creation and verification, FIFO management of perishable goods and working within Garlo's inventory policy.
As an effective communicator, you will be required to work closely with Garlo's General Manager, Production Manager and Warehouse Manager; whilst working with Suppliers and internal stakeholders to negotiate better lead times, price breaks, and minimum order quantities.

What you can offer Garlo’s:
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role.
- Excellent planning, follow up and organisational skills.
- Proven experience in building and maintaining stake holder relationships.
- Knowledge of food production and HACCP standards highly desirable, but not essential.
