AddressBaxters Foods Australia is a UK-owned Australian Manufacturer that specializes in the production of a wide variety of high-quality foods for both retail and foodservice. Based in Campbellfield, we manufacture a range of chutneys, relishes, mustards, marinated vegetables, chargrilled vegetables and pesto sauces. Our brands include Baxters, Jensen's Organic, Aunty Kath's and Yackandandah.
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Officer-Maternity Cover to join our small and friendly Technical Team. Reporting to the Head of Technical, this role is responsible for the administration of the Food Safety program at Baxters.
Accountabilities include:
- Perform product and process assessments and provide solutions for quality issues on the line;
- Prepare for audits, including GMP, glass, hard plastic, and internal audits;
- Support product releases by ensuring paperwork is checked and artisan process is complete;
- Ensure all elements of the Food Safety program are being adhered to;
- Undertake and coordinate product, environment and allergen testing; and
- Completion of on the line verification and validation activities.
To be successful in this position, you must:
- Have demonstrated experience in a similar role, preferably in FMCG;
- Hold a relevant tertiary qualification (Food Science or similar);
- Have a strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills;
- Have knowledge of food safety systems and standards (e.g. HACCP and BRC); and
- Most importantly: be a proactive team player, who doesn't wait for the next task!
Note this role is based on site at Campbellfield to be able to provide QA support to the factory team.
