We are recruiting for a permanent fulltime Qualification & Maintenance Officer to join our maintenance team, to be based at our Northgate Head Office and Production facility on a Monday- Friday day shift engagement.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this appointment will be responsible for the qualification of new and existing equipment, as well as supporting the maintenance manager in delivering new projects, internal calibration and maintenance administration tasks at both our Northgate manufacturing and office facilities, as well as our Banyo Distribution facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute qualification of new and legacy equipment, ensuring standards, performance expectations, analytical testing and all necessary documentation are undertaken
- Create or update systems, striving for best practice including templates for qualification documents and SOPs to describe qualification steps
- Manage re-qualification schedule in conjunction with Validation Coordinator
- Execute projects including researching options, negotiating prices, writing Capex requests, planning timelines, informing stakeholders and escalating issues
- Assist with related documentation such as Change controls, SOPs and preventative maintenance schedules
- Assist with maintenance activities as required
- Contractor management
- Complete technical documentation & compliance testing
Skills and experience
- Engineering, Science or related diploma or degree (Mechanical or Electrical preferred)
- Experience working in a GMP or manufacturing environment- highly regarded
- Experience writing Validation/Qualification protocols essential
- Excellent understanding of computer systems
- Ability to effectively read, understand and interpret engineering manuals
