About The Role
Thomas Foods International Bourke is looking for a new Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) to ensure the QA team follow all food regulatory, food safety , customer & country requirements are followed to ensure product integrity & product wholesomeness. The QA manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that both company and customer satisfaction is achieved while upholding high expectations for food hygiene and while following processes.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Achieve agreed operating efficiencies
- Achieve company & AQIS licensing product quality standards.
- Meet workplace health & safety requirements
- Supervise staff & provide training
- The implementation of the Integrated Management System
General Responsibilities
- Production Hygiene and Sanitation Monitoring.
- Process Monitoring.
- Product conformance with AUS-MEAT and customer quality standards including offal.
- Adhere to AQIS requirements
- Ensuring the plant and employees work to TFIB standards including TFIB Quality system, HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practice, IMS, Environmental Management system and training programs.
Experience
- Experience in the meat or food processing industry
- Knowledge of AUS-MEAT Beef specification standards
- Certificate 3 in Meat processing or equivalent.
- Knowledge & understanding of the Meat Hygiene Assessment
