Quality Assurance Manager - Food

The Role:
In the role you will be responsible for:
- Demonstrating products are safe, legal, compliant, responsibly, and ethically sourced and of repeatable quality
- Utilising feedback sources to promptly action adverse product performance or compliance
- Managing the delivery of new packaging and packaging updates regarding content and design ensuring customer's sustainability commitments are met
- Planning traceability initiatives and implementing their use for a more transparent supply chain.
- Work collaboratively with suppliers to manage the launch of new products
- Reviewing the effectiveness and efficiency of the quality systems and assist with updating processes and procedures for improvement
- Take ownership for business improvement projects in collaboration with other BU, central function, and external stakeholders
- Lead, develop and support the Quality Assurance Team (under 10 staff).
Experience:
- Experience as a Quality Assurance Manager with foods, especially red meat.
- Prior experience with FMCG. CFMRS desirable.
- Tertiary Qualification in Food Science or related discipline
- Proven experience in a technical role within a fast-paced environment
- Lead Food Safety / Quality auditing qualification preferred
- Proven analytical, problem solving & time management skills
- Stakeholder management
- Project Management
- High level of expertise and competency in processing technologies
- Excellent understanding on traceability programs and verification
- This role requires a high level of positive communication and drive
