Quality Control Officer

Freshmax are global produce distributors and packers with specialist expertise in the import and export of fresh fruit and vegetables.

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Quality Control Officer to join our busy and dynamic team located in Marsden Park, Sydney.  

We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated and enthusiastic candidate with a great “Can Do" attitude to drive business outcomes.

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager your main duties will include but not limited to:

• Communicate current customer specifications to the supply base when required.
• Perform day to day duties including timely and accurate assessment as per company and customer specifications of consignments meeting deadlines.
• Conduct equipment calibrations as per company procedure and the calibration schedule.
• Assist operations team by completing assessments to get the order out in timely manner.
• Conduct shelf life/retention testing accurately as per customer requirements and in timely manner.
• Conduct inbound/arrival and outbound/dispatch assessments to ensure the stock complies with the company, legislative and customer requirements.
• GMP audit & cleaning checks daily or as  instructed by your manager.
• Responsible for well maintained      and cleanliness of workstation and equipment; including but not limited to QC equipment, trolley, desks, and work tablets/computers.
• Update customers with assessment and shelf-life reporting in timely manner highlighting any discrepancies noted.
• Keep the customers and company sales/customer service team updated with information related to quality of produce.

Qualifications:

• Preference – Grade 12 as minimum;
• Forklift license

• Ability to remain calm under and multitasking
• Excellent time management skills
• Team player, adaptability and strong work ethics
• Display a professional and courteous manner in representing the organizations core value
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to deal with difficult customers.
• Previous experience in working with fast moving low shelf-life product line, would be an advantage
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
