Quality Control (Qc) Tester (Manufacturing)

An excellent opportunity has become available for an Entry Level Quality Control (QC) Tester (preferably with a Science background) to join our client's Research Laboratory based at their manufacturing site in Bayswater.

The Role

We are keen to recruit an Entry Level QC Tester, who will be responsible for undertaking accurate product inspections of both inward and outward goods on a daily basis.

This role is a short-term temporary position offering full-time hours for up to 2 months with the possibility of an extension.

Key duties of the position which includes training will be:

• Testing of raw, intermediate and final products
• Using a variety of tools and instruments to inspect and test
• Quality check each product against a QA checklist
• Calibration of equipment
• Assisting with general functioning of the QC department
• Be required to work in an on-site laboratory

The Successful Candidate

The successful candidate ideally will have either a science related tertiary qualification with some experience or worked within a manufacturing environment in a similar QC Testing position.

You will also be a quick learner, have a really good eye for detail and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

In addition, you will require:

• Be able to work within a team and with minimal supervision
• Flexibility to assist others when required
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Sound computer literacy skills
• Quality checking product experience (highly desirable)
• Either previous manufacturing experience in a similar role or have a science related tertiary qualification (highly desirable)
• Outstanding communication and written skills
• Available to work full-time hours Monday to Friday on-site
• Hourly rate range inclusive of casual loading and depending on experience and background starts at $32 to $35 per hour + super
