The product range includes specialised underground mining support vehicles (including concrete agitators, delivery trucks, fuel and lube trucks and water cannons), graders, mine extraction devices (MED), and Haulmax extended haulage trucks.
This range of products combine practical design, the latest technology and quality manufacturing to ensure each machine is safe, reliable, productive, ergonomic, and easy to service, maintain and re-build.
In addition to the manufacturing of our underground support vehicles, we have a significant presence in the Defence manufacturing industry, and provide electrical harness solutions within a number of industrial sectors.
Due to a team restructuring, we are seeking a Quality Co-ordinator to join our Yellow Iron team based at Wivenhoe.
About the Role
As our Yellow Iron Quality Co-ordinator, you will support our Yellow Iron Quality Supervisor in implementing, managing, and validating the quality management system (QMS), supporting all quality policies, objectives, and improvements, and mentoring employees in quality management principles.
As the Quality Co-ordinator, you can expect your day-to-day tasks to include but not limited to:
- Providing guidance, training, and mentorship to employees regarding quality policies and procedures and quality management system.
- Assist with root cause analysis (RCA) on defective parts and workmanship
- Present quality updates to employees as required
- Maintain and process non-conforming parts stored in quarantine areas
- Complete pre-delivery inspections and in process inspections
- Ensure quality record documentation is maintained and accurate
- Participate in internal audits
About You
You will bring a curious mindset and collaborative attitude to assist in driving high quality standards and products. You will have a keen eye for detail and be comfortable learning new technology.
The experience and skillset suited to this role include:
- Mechanically minded
- Competent with Microsoft Office and other software packages
- Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and high level of attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Able to adapt to changing work priorities
- Able to meet deadlines
- Current valid C class drivers licence
- Relevant trade qualification or manufacturing industry experience (may be advantageous)
