Primary Location Mount Piper Power Station - Maintenance ServicesJob Description Summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join Service Stream in our Mount Piper location.About the RoleService Stream’s Utilities division are currently seeking Quality Engineer to join our growing company. You will be responsible for the provision of quality assurance and control as a key element in supporting the management of major projects. This includes project planning, delivery, site inspections and project close out. The Quality Engineer will assist in performing internal audits and inspections, as well as for suppliers and subcontractors as directed by the Project Manager the Quality Engineer/Officer shall also be responsible for the interpretation of client specifications and relevant standards/codes to ensure that all works are executed with strict compliance to all project and contract requirements.Nature of position: Max Term contractLocation: Mount PiperReporting Line: Project ManagerKey Responsibilities
- Assist Quality Manager with the implementation of the Service Stream Quality Management Plan, Audit Management Plan and Audit Schedule
- Assistance with internal audits and second party audits/inspection at suppliers and subcontractors
- Monitor QC for works related to site based projects
- Project implementation of Service Stream Document Control Plan. Which includes, setup and system maintenance of databases to ensure efficient operation
- Manage tracking for all controlled correspondence and documents to and from clients.
- Coordinate the HSPPD (Handling, Storage, Packaging, Preservation & Delivery) Planning including any specific requirements for customer supplied product. Review compliance against the agreed planning output
- Inspect all material/product received on site and maintain records of inspection.
- Promote continuous improvement through training and coaching others
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop the smooth flow of production by the timely and effective compilation of Work Pack documentation
- Tertiary Engineering Degree (Preferable)
- Relevant Trade Qualification (Essential)
- Internal auditing experience
- Experience in working closely with and assisting project teams
- Experience in auditing and inspections of detailed fabrications or construction
- Experience in implementing new operating procedures
- Experience within a similar role working on large complex projects.
- Competent in MS Office 365 (word, excel, SharePoint, Project & Teams). Intermediate levels of Excel and MS Word is preferred.
