About our role
The Quality Food Safety Lead is responsible for developing and maintaining the Food Safety Management System to meet required business and customer standards.
The role is also responsible for developing and implementing systems, processes, procedures, SOPs and training material to achieve a Food Safety Culture and standards at site
The focus of the Food Safety Lead role is on:
- Manage all external audits and customer requirements, maintain certifications and ensure ongoing readiness for upcoming audits
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and improve Food Safety programs, procedures, and metrics, as well as provide training.
- Lead and drive continuous improvement for the site Food Safety programs in accordance with Kinrise corporate policies and procedures, external customer, and Food Safety certification requirements.
- Implement, and maintain the HACCP System and ensure compliance with the plan.
- Manage sanitation program.
- Manage Foreign body control measures and packaging tare weight
- Develop, implement, and maintain Allergen Management Plan and Food Defence/Food Fraud management plans
- Manage the site PEMP programs and action all non-conformances using the site CAPA procedure
- Implement Hygienic zoning at site in accordance with Kinrise corporate policies and procedure
- Develop and monitor a Foreign Body Control program
- Manage packaging, tare weight and verification program
- Manage Pest Control Program
In the role, well-honed stakeholder management, including partnering, influencing, facilitation and communication skills are critical to ensuring the Quality agenda is achieved.
About you
You are Degree qualified in Science, Food Science or related discipline. You are an experienced internal auditor with training in HACCP and good knowledge of business operations, including Food Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
You have proven skills in developing and implementing Quality Management Systems as well as using effective change management programs and processes to train teams.
You will have a background in a Food Safety environment with a focus on allergens and risk management. You are familiar with BRC, retailer standards and audit requirements.
You have good knowledge of customer requirements and the relevant standards, as well as experience solving problems in a team environment.
You are a quick learner in a short-term role.
